    Our Research and Development function, run by our team of 1,500 scientists across the world, is predominantly focused on developing a pipeline of inspiring potentially reduced risk products. By offering consumers outstanding products based on deep insights, world-leading science and innovation we will win the technology race which will enable us to transform our industry.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    You’ll work within our Research and Development 4-D Model, which means you’ll be defining, discovering, developing and deploying our innovative products. If you choose our science path, you’ll enjoy learning about how science can be translated into business solutions. If you choose our innovation and quality assurance path, you’ll develop your critical thinking, entrepreneurial and quality orientation skills.

    Choosing R&D means you could be working in any one of the following areas:

    Toxicology, Risk Reduction, Sensory, Product Development, Leaf Research, Stewardship, Compliance, Pre-clinical study, Blending, Packaging, Quality Assurance and Project Management.

    You’ll develop a key appreciation of the role that a large part of our workforce undertakes. We’ll help you get to grips with the strategic nature of HR. From there, you’ll be well prepared for more advanced training, setting you up for the possibility of securing a career in any one of the following areas of HR: Generalist, Attraction and Recruitment, Performance and Learning or Organisational Effectiveness.

    We are looking for people who are passionate about engagement, communication/reputation, legal and security matters. You will work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, think tanks, scientists, competitors, the media and, of course, our own employees.
    You will help us to protect our brands, products, our commercial interests and our corporate reputation.
    You will also be responsible for ensuring we protect the legal interests of the Group and for keeping our people, and our assets, safe around the world, securing our business now and in the future.

Upload your CV and pass two interviews (one via phone and one in person). You will need to complete a culture, verbal reasoning and numerical test and potentially participate in an assessment centre, depending on market requirements

At the end of your internship, you’ll be measured on the quality of your work and ability to fit in with our diverse team. Score high and we could invite to join our Global Graduate Programme.
